Masters’ Students Poster Competition

Guidelines:

Competition is open to M.Sc. students in Statistics and related subjects. Not more than two teams are allowed from an Institution.
A team should consist not more than two participants.
The poster should be related to the theme of the conference "New Age Statistics for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence” and or any topics dealt in the conference.
The participation in poster competition session is limited to the designated day and session only
No registration fee is payable for poster competition.
Participants should register for the competition and at least one participant should personally present during the presentation slot on the designated day.
Participants are expected to submit abstract of poster presentation while registering on or before the designated date.
Participants shall display the poster of size 40”x 40” on the board.
All illustrations and text must be readable from a distance of 3 feet.
Participants will be given a ten-minute window to showcase their projects with the judges. Judging sessions will consist of a five-minute presentation given by the contestant plus a five-minute question-and-answer period.
The best two project presentations are eligible for cash prize (INR 4000.00) and travel support within India by road/train (limited to second class sleeper coach) for attending the conference.
All Participants will be given participation certificates.
Judges’ decision will be final.

The poster must include the following:

Names of participant(s) and affiliated organization(s)
Background Information
Project Objectives
Materials and Methods
Results (tables, graphs, charts)
Conclusions
Discussion of possible future directions or why the project is complete

Venue: Foyer, Mukesh Patel Auditorium, NMIMS main building

The boards to display Posters will be made available on 21^st March 2023 from 10 am onwards. Participants are responsible for displaying their poster before the commencement of the competition.

Participants should register by submitting the Poster Competition Abstract on or before 5th^th March 2023.
