Research is a precursor to discovery and innovation. Realities of the modern world demand interdisciplinary research or research that cuts across the traditional boundaries of discipline.

NMIMS continues to enable faculty from across the institution to work together to create actionable knowledge.

Our goal is to create research communities who share objectives that include technology, management, sciences and other humanities and social sciences. We strive to accomplish this by creating an infrastructure and support system to facilitate the world’s best research scholars in science, management and technology.

Develop strong research initiatives

in family business, entrepreneurship, banking and finance, financial markets, innovation in management and organization, retail, supply chain, telecommunication, microelectronics, pharmacy, bio-analytics and urban design and development.

Strengthen the existing Doctoral Programs

in all disciplines. Seek industry funding for the same and attract research minded scholars to consider research and teaching as a potentially rewarding career.

Create support infrastructure

both financial & non-financial, to facilitate non-doctoral faculty to pursue the same.

A global network of research scholars which will

help doctoral students to pursue their research agenda.

Create strong relationship with networks

like Fulbright association, USEFI, British Council and other similar educational services of leading European and Asian countries.

Provide access

to all the leading international and national research journals to our faculty and doctoral and graduate students.

Provide innovative, state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories

that can function as or serve multidisciplinary research needs of faculty community.

Develop a tiered list of national and international journals

and categorize them following international guidelines.

Encourage joint research and publication

between international and NMIMS scholars.

Develop & communicate policies

related to intellectual property and its commercialization.

Create a campus wide web portal

to consolidate international research grants and opportunities for easy dissemination among NMIMS faculty.

Internationalize scholarship

and make it a priority in all our marketing communication.

Focus research

in rapidly emerging economies like China, Brazil and Russia, besides India.
