The present day education is faced with complex changing economic scenario and business dynamics. The global stage has undergone and undergoing changes which the history has not witnessed before. Both Capitalism and Socialism as absolute models have failed. New post American world is emerging in form of the Asian –African century. India along with China is poised to dominate the world's next century. The rules of both global and local economy are changing the way policy is to be addressed and businesses are to be organized. NMIMS is thus set to offer a distinctive degree course in Economics with special electives in the area of Economics, Finance and Management in the third year. This innovative course builds on the traditional framework and introduces students to modern day economics. NMIMS innovative pedagogy from the Business School will be used to make learning more interactive and enjoyable. A three years full time trimester based Programme which intends to re-invent, re-new and re-focus graduate education in Economics in India.
